i’m a big fan of melissa plastic shoes, especially the vivienne westwood collabs, but for some reason, never really got around to getting some. i was so pitiful while in the philippines…lamenting the whole time i was there that i wasn’t buying any shoes UNTIL my very last shopping day when i fell into the MOTHERLOAD of melissa shoes! i super love these…the round wedge, almost sculptural, almost egg-like & the plastic…so appropriate on this drizzly day!

i know! these look like the christian louboutin chain link wedges huh? i got these from spiegel online for like $36 i think. they were $50-ish, but they had a special kind of discount thingy going, so cheaper shoes FTMFW!

the last from my LF end of season sale treasure trove…these thigh-high leather boots with a wedge heel are the picture of platform comfort! i have to admit though that i’m not the ideal body type for thigh highs…yup, i get that dreaded “muffin top” thighs. what can i do? i’m too muscular for my own good. so, how do i solve that? well, i don’t wear super short, micro miniskirts that would show how unflattering these types of boots can be for my thighs. i wear skirts that *just* graze the tops of the boots, so you can see the boots are thigh high, yet not become a big fashion DON’T. see girls, you don’t always have to be a “skinny Minnie”…just find what works for you :)

yup…another jeffrey campbell x LF exclusive. i swear, i should be a
spokesshoemodel for either JC or LF (hint, hint…i know you hear me, guys)…hahaha! anywho, these are just the perfect wedge booties. the beige color matches my skintone perfectly. they’re MAD comfy. i think this style is called “egypt.” even if it’s gonna rain again in a few days like they predicted, nude-colored wedges mean SPRING is officially here!

i had bypassed these alicia + olivia booties in payless a few times, but at my last trip, i realized how cuter they are up close & how the heels remind me of lynn’s stella mccartney wedges :) plus with a 50% off everything coupon, how could i resist?

yes, these are the wedges from jane aldridge’s urban outfitters capsule collection. they are cute IRL, a comfy enough platformy height & hey for once, i have an ankle bootie that’s NOT BLACK :) i’ll admit though with a lot of the UO reviewers, they squeak a lot, the leather isn’t the highest quality & do look a little cheap. let’s see if they stand the test of time. i didn’t pay full price for them, so either way, i consider them a cute WIN!

i feel like i’m dressed like a third grader. then again, i’m the height of a third grader, so what am i blustering about? ah well…considering that it was 8 degrees this morning (which translates to negative COLD AS F*** with the wind chill), keeping warm takes precedence!

i don’t normally buy shoes from target…after the heel on a lovely pair of ankle boots that i quickly fell in love with broke off. *sigh* however, these espadrilles have lasted a couple of years now. note to self…if buying target shoes, buy sturdy wedge heels, NOT stilettos :)

ok, here’s where unintentional overcoordination goes off the hook! check it…i painted my toenails this color a week ago & my nails a blue color a few days ago, both colors totally matching this dress. then while perusing my shoe wall, i come across these lovely wedges i haven’t worn in a while…again with a neon yellow-green & blue that goes with the dress. insane!

i’m not a huge fan of the wedge heel for boots, but i really needed a boot to wear in the slush & snow & NOT my usual useless stiletto heel. these are surprisingly easy to walk around in, even on crusty ice. plus the fur trim keeps me warmer :)
