i’m not really a headband girl, but when i saw these at target, i snapped it up. i’m also really *not* the ethereal woodland nymph kinda girl. i should have bought two headbands, put the leaves on either side of my head & channel more a julius caesar vibe…hahaha!

it was warm enough today to just get by with a simple t-shirt dress, but i still needed that *something* which was in the form of a nice little scarf to keep my neck warm & add more color to my outfit :) i got this scarf from the epic swap i attended a few weeks ago.

i got this sweater dress at the latest & greatest clothing swap i had ever been to! it’s kinda big on me (it’s an XL), but i’ll make it work. maybe i just gotta leave it longer in the dryer on super duper hot to shrink it a little more :)

this one was held at the HUGE arts at the armory over in somerville. it was a gorgeous venue with plenty of room to hold 20 racks of clothing with plenty of room for running around, screaming & swapping plus a ginormous screen that displayed our tweets with #bfwswap all night :)

it was really a fun mixer right before the “main” swap. i met up with old time blogger friends, najeema of a stylized hysteria (whom i also ran into at the nirva show & didn’t take pics with her…i’m such a tard sometimes) & then also made new ones, like amy of a stylish year, who is chronicling her last year in her 20s with daily outfit posts. *sigh* the 20s…oh these young’uns are so cute ^_^

another blogger friend, miss neira of the one & only miss neira! we were totally channeling each other…her with her hearts skirt & me in my polka dotted one :) also, see that fur jacket she scored at the swap? it was be-yoooo-ti-ful! she clung to it all night for fear if she set it down, it would get taken! smart & sexy girl!

so, do you think we can all just meet up, sip wine, get pretty clothes & have fun for free? well *some* of can. some of us had to work for it. i previously agreed to walk in the fashion show at the end of the night. the only catch though was that we had to model outfits that we created totally out of swap clothes! yikes…i was nervous to the point of almost not doing it (but no one likes a punker-outer), however can you tell by my geeky face how much i loved the outfit i created? walk the catwalk? how’s about dance over it in my “russian ice skating princess” look? hahaha!

our lovely hostesses…the swapaholics, melissa & amy, whom need no introduction. they put on an AWESOME event. they should be very proud of themselves & we all totally had fun! as a credit to them, there was the ABC nightline film crew there to document their night. the anchor even walked the runway. how cool was that! congrats again melissa & amy…see you at the next swap (or sooner)!

soooo…my runway walk. considering i hadn’t walked one of these since college, i’m glad i didn’t fall on my ass. well, as much as i love platforms, i wisely left the 6-inchers at home & went with only the 4-inch ones. ha! such a great night!
