i have to admit, i didn’t come up with this outfit myself. i saw a brief glimpse of an advertisement somewhere on the interwebs…an ad on facebook, one of the eleventibillion blogs i read, who knows?…that inspired this look. if anyone thinks this looks familiar (minus the floral jacket), let me know! i hate not to give credit when credit is due.

a whole lotta blue today huh? i wanted to be warmer & casual hence the chambray button up shirt. it has a cool stripe detail along where the buttons are, so hence this denim-y sorta stars & stripes skirt from UO. finally, the gingham JC platforms from the other day. told ya i’ll get in more usage before this summer ends :)

again a casual day with nothing much planned. i woke up with a hankering for pancakes, but instead of
harassingasking MDH to make me some like i usually do, i decided to be nice & suggested we just go out to IHOP instead. that could’ve been a mistake, but it was decidedly *not* busy for a holiday weekend! got me some new york cheesecake pancakes…*bleh*…i’m still full, but soooo good! finally, just some target runs & visiting friends. so far, lazy, dazy weekend…SUCCEED!

when in doubt with what to wear…mix prints! same color palette…it’s all you need :) funny story about this crystal pendant i’m wearing. i bought it while on my honeymoon in the greek isles. i tell you…it’s HARD to find something in the gift shops that *wasn’t* made in china. weird huh? maybe we weren’t looking hard enough or we were mostly in the touristy trap areas. i loved this pendant when i saw it, but who knows if it was actually representative of jewelry made in greece :(

i really do love these sandal mules (IDK if that’s even the right term) for the color & print, but the style of them…hmmmm. i feel kinda old-ladyish wearing these around sometimes which is why i’m glad they’re in this insane pinkish-purplish cheetah print with a huge muted gold buckle! or maybe i’m just fooling myself & they’re still pretty dated!

a week back from china & i think i *finally* feel back to myself. if back means NOT having to take an afternoon nap every day. seriously, jet lag can be a bitch! i’ve literally fallen asleep while talking to MDH. ah well, put on a cute short skirt & everything’s right as rain :)
