i seem to be stuck in a blue & black mode lately. seems appropriate since i accidentally (then again who does that kind of thing purposefully) “punched” myself in the eye…don’t ask. however, contrary to popular belief, i did NOT give myself a black eye…only 2 small cuts. cos that’s how i roll >.>

yup…the leather shorts again. i’m so feeling leather pieces for fall. scouring ebay tends to be the best source for me for finding such items and can end up being relatively inexpensive too. i think it was either this pair or my brown pair that i scored for only $20!

by now, everyone recognizes the ingenious print mixing of leopard & polka dots showcased by dolce & gabbana f/w 2010. i actually don’t have a true leopard top…this one is more floral in leopard colors. i’m hoping to remedy the situation & score something leopard print at tonight’s event ;)

i really do like my rendition of dolce & gabbana’s f/w 2010 look. i don’t know how my look skewed more towards vintage styling however…as that’s not a look i often incorporate into my usual daily style. however, when i saw kelly o’s new retro ponytail, i KNEW i had to recreate it! next, came the little black veil headpiece…then, it all just fell into place :)

uh oh, here we go with the odd faces again. so frustrating when all your photos look like you’re either drugged up or pissed the eff off. hey, at least i’m not looking down!

i couldn’t believe someone was actually giving this away at the last clothing swap i went to, especially that polka dots are so on-trend now. it’s not *that* cold out to wear a scarf, but it went so well with my outfit. also, it’s a gauzy material instead of an actual scarf scarf, plus just sitting indoors in air conditioning all day, it was the perfect light neck covering :)

now i’m pretty excited that fall is just around the corner. i feel that people do tend to dress better this time of year…or i just love the look of boots, jackets, gloves & scarves. know what i’m NOT excited for though? raking leaves, especially from this monster tree behind me…grrrrr >:/

so, i didn’t wake up in a polka dot kinda mood, but i got this blouse in the spring & couldn’t figure out a way to wear it. by itself, it’s a bit *much*…almost clownish. so, i had to wait for a cold, dreary day like this when i could throw a blazer over it & tone it down. not bad…not bad…

another polka dot inspiration? i was alerted to these lovely miu miu-esque mary jane platforms by the equally lovely sharon (my new favorite internet shoe twin…btw). it was a spontaneous buy, but for $28, it was a no-brainer plus i knew they would sell out quickly. sure enough, i ordered late on a monday night & by tuesday morning, my size was gone. *whew*

unfortunately, i didn’t want the rain to ruin my new platforms, so i had fun stomping about the house for a while, but switched out to proper boots once it was time to leave. hopefully i can get better pictures of these monster heels when the dry weather returns which i think is tomorrow :)

a week back from china & i think i *finally* feel back to myself. if back means NOT having to take an afternoon nap every day. seriously, jet lag can be a bitch! i’ve literally fallen asleep while talking to MDH. ah well, put on a cute short skirt & everything’s right as rain :)
