ooooo…it’s so warm out today, i didn’t even need this jacket! took advantage of the sunny weather to wear this sundress one more time. it’s of such a gauzy fabric that even with layering, it’s not one of those dresses you can get away with during the winter.

the past few days, i’ve struggled with getting even 3 decent outfit photos. for *some* reason, today was much better & now i can’t even decide which 3 to put up…hence a double dose of picturography…or whatevs :)

i just love printed dresses with unusual pleating or draping…can you tell? this one has a very drapey, bubbly hem of a heavy fine knit that just swishes when i walk. LOVES it!
tunic worn as a dress: paramita (via second time around, chestnut hill)
bracelets: skullduggerys

another polka dot inspiration? i was alerted to these lovely miu miu-esque mary jane platforms by the equally lovely sharon (my new favorite internet shoe twin…btw). it was a spontaneous buy, but for $28, it was a no-brainer plus i knew they would sell out quickly. sure enough, i ordered late on a monday night & by tuesday morning, my size was gone. *whew*

my standard summer footwear staple is the platform flip flop. i get these on trips back home to hawaii. since i’m so flat-footed, regular flat flip flops give me foot aches like platforms never do! i have tons of other colors, but these i’ve had since 2004 & love them to death…can’t find this rainbow style anymore either…booooo! the black rubber part on the bottom is rubbing off. i’m going to be soooo sad when the colored portions start wearing away *sniff*.

did everyone survive their fourth of july weekend? did we all do the usual…eat too much, watch fireworks, hang out with family & friends? hahaha :) even though it was a sweltering 100 degrees today (yikes!), i do love the summer & just hanging out, taking it easy & wearing floral dresses :)

these are the sandals i wore to the wedding the other day. they had been my wedding staple for years. i remember first wearing them to my cousin’s wedding back in 2002. i chose them again because they would be under the dress i wore & i needed a chunkier heel to compensate for lawn walking. i watched many a guest with her thin, satin heel getting ruined by sinking into the grass. plus, the shorter heel made it easier for me to navigate the uneven surfaces. don’t want to be wiping out & embarrassing myself. gosh…these are 3 inches! can’t believe how *short* they look now!

i was actually quite surprised how many polka dotted items i had in my closet…particularly these darling pink satiny missoni platforms that i love, love, LOVE!

rumi has them. lulu has them. jennine has them. carey has the same color i do. i’ll be honest, i’ve never been afraid to wear any pair of platforms *ever*, but the other day when i wanted to wear these 6-inch mo-fo’s, i had to take public transportation. fooock that! i could see me tumbling off the bus like an idiot. so, i had to wait for a day like today when MDH played chauffeur for me :)

why…the satin bird & cat printed heels of the miu miu spring 2010 show! kinda similar, except for that tremendous amount of bling.

despite the almost 6-inch heel, these bebe platforms are quite comfy. i’m sure a lot of girls say that, but the platform part really makes a difference. i even tromped all over chinatown yesterday in them with nary an ache in me toes :)

my oldest pair of pradas…still love them after all these years. is it the unusual tangerine/chocolate color combo? or the weird hoof-like shape? srsly…my friend calls them my “pig shoes.” hrmmph…

i wasn’t even actively in the market for marni…but there they were…on ebay…going for quite cheap. i HAD to do it! if they had been black, then i would have passed them up, but gray & beige…that’s a color combo my shoe wall is lacking & there you have it :)

these sandals are soooo much cuter in person…the fabric is kinda satiny, so has that lovely sheen to them :) depending on the light too, it can look more lavender or more beige. luckily tonight is warm, so i can still wear open toes out!
