i know…i know. halloween is fast approaching, so it was *inevitable* i would (not on purpose) create an orange & black outfit. to be honest, this cardigan kinda looks more “camel” in real life than orange. no excuse…*sigh*
rue 21 print sundress
evie orange cardigan (via temple rummage sale)
rodarte for target leopard bow belt
gold circle necklace (via global thrift)
jeffrey campbell nude wedges

even though this is a strapless sundress, it’s the perfect autumn dress since it kinda has a dead leaves print motif with brown, green, yellow & orange hues. i threw in the leopard print belt just for a little print mixing :)

isn’t the change of seasons always weird? it has been nice fall weather for a while now, but it also always seems like where did the time go? pretty soon the leaves on the tree behind me will totally match my outfit :(

anyone remember custo barcelona? i’d have to say that if there was my *first* “designer brand” that i bought with any regularity back in the day, it was custo. i guess i loved mixology, even way back when :)
tank top: custo barcelona
skirt: thrifted
necklace: cookie lee (gift from cousin-in-law)
bead bracelets: dengfeng & guangzhou, china
espadrille wedges: sam edelman

it looks like a completely different outfit coming than going huh? it’s funny…i’ve easily had some of my custo barcelona pieces going well on (if not over) 10 years now, yet totally still feels on-trend with the whole pattern mixing thing. i love them! i can’t see myself ever getting rid of them until they fall apart :)

i was *just* about to say, “hey look, i’m not wearing any target for a change!” then, i forgot about this awesome belt i *just* got. it’s weird though…it’s more like a giant beaded elastic bracelet. seriously, there’s no clasp, no buckle, no nuthin’. i felt like an idiot trying it on in the store, attempting to step into it without lifting up my skirt. though, works great with the mixed prints outfit huh?

since it was such a nice, sunny, *dry* day for a change (we’ve been having bizarre thunderstorms with lightning & everything!), i decided to take a walk down by the river :)

i’ve been waiting for a bright sunny day to wear this pink blouse. being a filipino, it’s funny that it also has these massive bullet shield type of shoulders that are very representative of the filipino national costume. i can’t believe we as kids used to make fun of them…now here i am wearing a shirt very similar. bwahahaha…

it’s such a pretty spring day, but COLD as HELL! i didn’t think i’d be pulling out a winter-weight coat this late in april. oh well, luckily i really like how the leopard & floral are the same color palette, so the mixing of prints works!
