  2. ↔ × → loooooove these platforms, but i can’t wear them when i know i have to walk for any long distances. i did attach some heavy duty cushy ball of foot pads to the insole & it makes a *big* difference.

  4. ↔ × → yes, these are actually the sandals i wore the night of my wedding 5 years ago. wore them ALL night too (even performed a choreographed dance in them with nary a wobble nor slip) & my feet not hurting at all :) i dug them out of their box a few months ago while organizing my shoe closet & decided to do the famous miu miu sparrow DIY to them. why not? i never thought i’d ever wear these shoes again…

  6. ↔ × → another polka dot inspiration? i was alerted to these lovely miu miu-esque mary jane platforms by the equally lovely sharon (my new favorite internet shoe twin…btw). it was a spontaneous buy, but for $28, it was a no-brainer plus i knew they would sell out quickly. sure enough, i ordered late on a monday night & by tuesday morning, my size was gone. *whew*

  8. ↔ × → so, i’ve been a fan of the glamourai’s miu miu swallow brooch since she debuted it on her blog, but it was the way the model in the photo that parapraxia had posted was wearing the same brooch..so funkily off-kilter, almost on her shoulder…that i knew i was going to DIY it! at my local fabric upholstery store, i found a great thick felt that had an adhesive back! it was so easy to trim out the snake skin print-like fabric & stick it to that felt…no sewing even! attach a safety pin & i was good to go :) i was so ambitious…i even made a chinese brocade swallow (which took a little more time due to the more delicate, ever-unraveling fabric), so hopefully that will make its debut soon too :)

  9. ↔ × → i wear my black leather shorts all the time. it was about time the brown ones got some love too. the problem is that they’re a *bit* shorter, so i can’t roll up the hems to get that nice poufy paper bag kind of effect that i like, so i’m going original full-on bermuda short style! it’s amazing how effortless these shorts are to wear…i truly do love them & i HATE shorts. just ask all my friends i grew up with in florida how many times they saw me in shorts…hahaha!

  11. ↔ × → speaking of this bird print, i have some other miu miu “inspired” things going on (ooooo…do i smell a DIY in the works?) hopefully, that will come to fruition soon. unfortunately, i always start projects with such vim & vigor, but then am over it so quickly…leaving half-done tasks all over the house. putting it out there will hopefully get my lazy ass in gear.
