  1. ↔ × → i’m a big fan of melissa plastic shoes, especially the vivienne westwood collabs, but for some reason, never really got around to getting some. i was so pitiful while in the philippines…lamenting the whole time i was there that i wasn’t buying any shoes UNTIL my very last shopping day when i fell into the MOTHERLOAD of melissa shoes! i super love these…the round wedge, almost sculptural, almost egg-like & the plastic…so appropriate on this drizzly day!

  5. ↔ × → i was surprised these boots held up fairly well all day. i was mostly on my feet, walking around, sitting down now & again. my feet didn’t start hurting until around 4:00 when we headed over to SOWA market to get some grub from the food trucks! i gots me a lovely grilled melted brie & apple sammich & an apple cider. mmmmmm…

  7. ↔ × → i love this cape, but because the arm holes were so low, it never fit quite right & hence i’ve only worn 1-2 times. after being inspired by this, i decided to just cut the seams up to the armpits, sew the lining back down & VOILA, the cape shape that i always wanted! vintage cape from the now defunct lisa’s closet target peacock feather print dress target grey tights express black suede belt (super old) jeffrey campbell x LF poland boots

  9. ↔ × → i love to knit & i’m using this cape as a template for a new hand-knitted one. i’ve created other knitting projects before, but it can be a pain to map out a pattern & cross your fingers it works out all right. then, i had the revelation that it’s just easier to knit while matching up your work to the item you’re trying to recreate as you go along. i hope it works!

  11. ↔ × → finally…the picture of me & THE.MAN in all our gloriousness. my plan is to shrink this pic, crop our faces & replace it as my driver’s license photo. can you imagine when i get pulled over?  the cop will be all “license & registration, ma’am” & then when he sees the picture, will be all like “holy shit, is that tim gunn?” & when i respond “oh hellz yeah,” he’ll be like, “oh no ticket for you, but you be careful out there. remember, safety first.”  hahahaha…oh i have some vivid effed up daydreams. dress:  forever 21 satin jacket:  boston chinatown necklace: DIY
