i would say i usually reserve my dharma neck plate by the glamourai for shrimpton couture for special occasions, but a weekend of fun in NYC classifies as special, especially with all the plans i have going. i’ll be wearing this statement piece almost every day :)

on this day, i started with a designer friend’s trunk show, then went to another friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party, continued with a Chinese lion dance & kung fu performance & FINALLY ended up here, one of my bestest friend’s 30th birthday party! i originally had a tight skirt on, but i remembered that we were going to playing pool in a private room, so had to switch out to these shorts. i’m not really a shorts person, but with the leather, this length & the high waist…i’m telling you right now, this is a new instant favorite & will get much more mileage once the weather gets warmer!

i *really* wanted to wear OTK boots tonight cos it’s kinda cold. *unfortunately* tonight’s dinner was in the private tatami room of one of our favorite sushi restaurants hence have to take my shoes off. boooo!!! i didn’t want to struggle with pulling boots on and off, hence these easy to kick off ankle booties :)

i really like how my outfit turned out. lately, the glamourai has been inspiring me with her eclectic mix of patterns & colors. i have plenty of asian robes that i think i’ll use more like jackets & less like robes. i even have green toes :)
