well, well, well…look who has returned from the blogging dead. i’ve been on vacation where (blessedly) technology was nowhere to be found. it’s hard to come back from that :)

i kinda jerry-rigged this dress where i pulled up the self-attached belt high enough to be tied around by the collar. who doesn’t like a good bowtie at the neck?

even when it’s not the *hot* color of the moment, camel (along with gray) have always been my long-time favorite autumn colors. it was too cold to go out with just the blazer, so topping this whole outfit although not shown, my new camel wool coat too :)

i actually didn’t mean to get so dressed up today. the day started off still drizzly & dreary. however, i find it easiest to just put on a dress & go. i don’t know how other people do it…matching shirts with pants, keeping the shirt tucked in, it’s too much for me! friends think i put a lot of effort into dressing up, when really dresses are the ultimate lazy woman’s wear. guess that means i’ll be wearing a lot of housecoats or muu-muus when i’m old…hahaha!

aren’t these floral pants FABULOUS??? everything i want in a pant…high waisted, long length to cover my shoes, flaredness. LOVES! one of my favorite places to shop are actually church rummage sales! i got these at a jewish temple $6 bag night. i managed to fit 11 pieces of clothing (including 2 sweaters), a scarf, 2 handbags & a hat into their paper grocery bag. so, these pants cost me…oh…a big ol’ 40 cents!

loooooove these platforms, but i can’t wear them when i know i have to walk for any long distances. i did attach some heavy duty cushy ball of foot pads to the insole & it makes a *big* difference.

my outfit today is nothing photo worthy (work, work, only work), so here’s an outfit i wore last week. ironically, it’s rainy again today, so it’s still appropriate :)

i like this outfit much better without the rain coat. however, it was definitely needed for this cool, wet day. luckily the floral print still went with the stripes/neutral outfit. one of my favorite outfits lately!

this dress was a GREAT find during the canal district clothing swap. it has the perfect beige & brown color palette to bring me into the mood for fall dressing. it’s very light, chiffony & moves oh so playfully in the breeze. unfortunately, it’s also like 10 sizes too big! for the skirt part, doesn’t matter…it’s perfectly poufy, but the top part just completely falls off my shoulders. no problem, that’s what the cardigan from the other day is doing to hide all that & the brown belt to cinch me in & keep it all together :)
