it’s kind of a melancholy NYE for me as i was supposed to have been in new orleans at this very moment with friends, but que sera sera. i can’t complain really. instead, i’m enjoying a fabulous (very boston) dinner with my husband…lobster & champagne!

awful picture i know. i hate taking pictures out of the comfort of my own home where i can better control background & lighting. oh well…at least you can see the most awesome detail of this dress…the wackadoodle sleeve & hem attachment. it’s one piece! craaaaazy huh? also, i opted for a leopard fur muff purse, so i didn’t have to wear gloves & still keep my hands warm :)

my crazy night almost didn’t happen. our plans were to go to the liberty hotel NYE party with our friends. i procrastinated & tickets sold out…booooo! then MDH had a crisis he was dealing with & i didn’t think we were going to go out AT ALL! however, my friend managed to rustle up 1 extra ticket, but we still needed JUST.ONE.MORE! *sigh* i decided EFF IT…we’re still going & my smart as ninja friends managed to sneak me in. hahahaha!!! shhhh…don’t tell!

the liberty hotel was a great place to party…it was formerly a PRISON! yup…seems adequate that i crash a party that used to be a jail. say WHAT???

got the champers ready! counting down to 2010! btw…the decorations in the background are upside christmas trees hanging over the lobby below (the hotel is 5 floors). the biggest discussion of the night amongst the peeps is whether hanging xmas trees upside down is satanic…hmmmmm…

happy 2010!!! so, what are the lessons i’ve learned in this past year/decade? i’ve learned that nothing really matters…it’s all small stuff & i don’t sweat it. however, having MDH** by my side makes the bigger stuff easier to handle :) well…*that* & leopard fur muffs rawk!!!
